No. Even though we utilizes a sophisticated algorithm to deliver each listener's personalized radio station, the songs that the algorithm has to choose from are human-curated by a small team of music lovers. Our goal is to make the next song we play, a song that listener will love, too.
We can't guarantee that we'll review every submission, but we do our best. Emailing us or hunting us down on social media definitely won't help your case. We can't be bribed either. Not even with Cobain's Martin D-18E.
We do our best to review submissions within 2 weeks. Depending on the volume of submissions, though, this may take more or less time. If you included your email address when you submitted, we'll let you know our decision either way when we do get to your submission. Patience grasshopper.
There's no limit to how many songs, or how often, you can submit. Please don't spam us, though, and don't repeat submissions of the same song. Remember, Humcrush is about quality, not quantity. Submit a small number of your very best songs.
No. While musical taste is inherently subjective, we have an editorial process designed to surface the type of music that we believe our listeners want to hear. Ultimately, our founders have the final say on what gets played. The only thing you will accomplish by resubmitting a rejected song is annoying us and making us less likely to listen to your next song.
Because we want you to get paid! SoundExchange, the entity that collects and distributes royalties for
digital performances, requires us to report a song's ISRC every time we play it. This allows them to match
payments to the proper rights holder.

Nope. All that matters to us is the quality of your music.
No. We deliver the very high quality audio to our listeners, even over low bandwith connections. Our encoding process requires that we start from a lossless source file of at least CD quality (16-bit 44.1kHz). We prefer 24-bit 96kHz master files.
During the encoding process, we normalize loudness to EBU R128 standards. We then compress and encrypt for delivery. We do not alter the track in any other way.
Yes. We're interested in great music from any era.
